Hardly anybody sees the second slide

It is the uncomfortable fact about carousels and worth having in front of you before building one. People land on the home page, look at what is at the top for a couple of seconds and carry on scrolling. By the time the carousel changes to the second image, the visitor is already reading something further down. And that carousel is usually the heaviest thing on the whole page.

From that come the two rules that make a slider worth having: the first frame must say what matters and the piece must not cost speed. Prime Slider is built with that second part in mind, which is why its value is not in having many transitions, but in not paying dearly for them.

When it pays

If the home page has to impress. Portfolios, agencies and brands whose first screen is the sales argument: a well-made hero works there.

If you build many sites with Elementor. Having heroes solved saves more time per project than almost anything else, because it is the section that always gets rebuilt.

And the advice hardly anybody gives when selling a slider: when in doubt, use a single still image with its message and its button. It performs better than a carousel in almost every case, and the tool serves just as well for building it properly.

About licensing and the GPL

The code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. Updates, support and activation against the maker's servers are separate services contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
