About Product Carousel for Divi and WooCommerce

A plugin that does one thing, and does it with a hundred controls

Worth starting there, because it is its virtue and also what to weigh before buying. This is not a module pack: it is a product carousel for Divi, and nothing else. In exchange for that narrowness, it brings more than a hundred options for adjusting it, which is considerably more than the standard module gives.

The right question is not whether it contributes a lot, but whether what it contributes is what you are missing.

Where it pulls products from

  • By date, for showing new arrivals without touching anything.
  • Featured, on sale, top rated or best selling.
  • By category, for themed carousels.
  • By price range or by availability.
  • At random, so the homepage changes between visits.

That is the important part: the carousel updates itself. A "best selling" block configured once is still right six months later, without anybody going in to change it. It is the difference between a live element and a spring promotion still showing in October.

What can be adjusted

Up to six products at a time, with reordering or hiding of each element on the card: title, image, rating, button. Autoplay with adjustable speed, arrows, dots and click-to-advance. Star ratings, a direct buy button, a configurable sale badge and hover animations.

Where to put it and where not

The product carousel pays off in the middle of the page, when the visitor has already decided to look: related products on the product page, new arrivals below the fold, add-ons in the cart. There it helps comparison and raises average order value.

It pays off less as a rotating hero at the top of the homepage, which is what almost all carousels get used for. The visitor takes in the first thing, almost nobody sees the rest, and a row of product images moving right at the top penalises speed exactly where it matters most, which is on a phone.

Requirements

It needs Divi and WooCommerce. And one concrete warning worth checking before buying: the advertised support is for Divi 4, with Divi 5 marked as pending. If you have already moved to the new builder version, confirm the current state before deciding.

Alternatives in the catalogue

If instead of a carousel what you need is for the visitor to narrow the catalogue, that is something else: Divi Ajax Filter adds no-reload filtering by attribute, category, price and custom fields.

If you are going to need several modules rather than only this one, a pack works out better: DiviFlash extends the builder with presentation modules, carousels and listings included.

And if your catalogue is structured content rather than only products (properties, projects, technical sheets), the underlying piece is Divi Machine, which creates the content types and their dynamic listings, carousel included.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work without Divi?
No. It is a Divi builder module and needs it installed, along with WooCommerce.

Does the carousel update itself?
Yes, it pulls products by whichever criterion you choose, so it needs no manual maintenance.

How many products show at once?
Up to six, with spacing and height controls.

Can I hide the price or the rating?
Yes, each element on the card can be reordered or hidden.

Does it work with Divi 5?
The advertised support is for Divi 4. Worth confirming the current state if you already use the new version.

Does it affect speed?
That depends where you place it and how many images it loads. Right at the top is where it weighs most.
