About QSM - Google Sheet Connector
Anyone building quizzes in WordPress tends to end up in the same spot: the results stay inside the admin panel, and every time a colleague, coordinator or client wants to see them you have to export, copy and paste, or give them access to the WordPress dashboard. QSM - Google Sheet Connector is an add-on for Quiz and Survey Master that sends every response to a Google Sheets spreadsheet as soon as someone finishes the quiz.
An online exam, from answer to shared sheet
Imagine you teach a course and give a test at the end of each module. Here is how it works with this connector:
- You connect your Google account. In the add-on settings you authorize your account by following the on-screen instructions. Then, in the Google Sheets section of QSM, you enter the sheet ID (it appears in the URL) and the tab name.
- You decide what gets saved. You can send the full result or only the contact details. If all you need is a list of participants, that option avoids filling the sheet with answers you will not use.
- The student submits the test. The row appears in the sheet without you doing anything, with the contact details and the result.
- You share the sheet. A coordinator or colleague opens it from Google, without a user account on your WordPress site.
What data goes to the sheet
Besides contact fields and the result, the connector can send the timestamp, the IP address and URL parameters. It can also export the points for each question, comments, label points, category scores and the time taken. Question comments can be turned on or off.
Storing IP addresses and personal data in a shared sheet is a decision worth thinking through before giving access to more people.
It needs Quiz and Survey Master and a Google account
This add-on does not work on its own: it is installed on top of Quiz and Survey Master and needs a Google account to authorize the connection. Nor is it an analytics dashboard: it simply dumps the data. Charts, formulas and reports are something you build yourself in Google Sheets.
An important warning: if you use other plugins that also ask for authorization on the same Google sheet where QSM is already authorized, the connection may fail. Use a dedicated sheet for your quizzes.

It is designed for Quiz and Survey Master quizzes and surveys, so you can use it with both.
Does whoever reads the sheet need an account on my WordPress site?
No. They only need access to the Google sheet you share.
When it pays off and when it does not
It pays off if you already use Quiz and Survey Master and your team works with spreadsheets: internal training, contests, certification tests or brand surveys. If only you check the results, from the WordPress panel, it will add little. And if you need to send data to other tools, QSM has other add-ons for that; this connector is limited to Google Sheets.
