Anyone who publishes about fashion, travel or lifestyle usually has to pick between two evils: cluttered templates that compete with their photos, or designs so plain that every post looks the same. Saara – Minimal Blog WordPress Theme aims for a middle ground between the two.
Six home pages and several ways to show each post
The theme comes with six home page variants, so you can start from the one that best fits your publishing rhythm instead of forcing a single design.
The gallery page supports standard and video posts, plus a minimal version with the information placed above the image or inside it. It is responsive and retina ready.
Importing the demo with Unyson so you don't start from scratch
The demo content is imported with a single click through Unyson Importer, and the site ends up looking like the demo. It is a good shortcut to see how the pieces fit together, but afterwards you will have to replace the sample texts and images with your own.
The slider, the forms and the shop are separate plugins
Saara is a blog theme, not a suite. What follows depends on what you want to add:
- Already solved by the theme: minimalist design, six home pages, gallery and video post variants, mobile and retina adaptation, and demo import.
- You will cover with another plugin: sliders with Slider Revolution, contact forms with Contact Form 7, product sales with WooCommerce (and a wishlist with YITH WooCommerce Wishlist), an events calendar with Events Calendar Pro and a multilingual site with WPML.
Being compatible does not mean being included: each plugin is installed and configured separately. And if your project is mostly a shop, WooCommerce lets you sell, but this theme is designed so that the blog is the star.
Common questions about Saara
Is it only for fashion?
No. Its tags point to beauty, fashion, lifestyle, travel, magazine and personal blogs. If your subject is very technical or text-heavy, check in the demo whether the reading experience convinces you.
Can I sell my own products?
Yes, with WooCommerce, which is a separate plugin. It also supports YITH WooCommerce Wishlist.
Can the site be translated?
It is compatible with WPML, but the plugin and the translations are up to you.
Does it include a contact form?
It does not come with its own: it works with Contact Form 7, which is free, and you can edit its template or create your own.
