About Searcher for Elementor

The visitor using your search box already knows what they want

Someone typing in a site's internal search is not just browsing: they arrive with a specific idea and little patience. If the search demands the exact name, returns an empty page or reacts slowly, that person leaves without saying a word. Searcher for Elementor is a search widget built so that visitor can find something even when they only remember part of the name.

Results as you type, or on a separate page

The plugin offers two request modes and you choose the one that fits your site:

  • Asynchronous: results appear while the person types. They don't need to know the full title of a post or product, a fragment is enough. Each result can show a featured image (or product image), a title and a short description, depending on the content type. You can also edit the text shown when there are no results.
  • Regular: the search runs when the query is submitted and the results appear on a different page. It is the most sober option if you prefer classic behavior.

You can search the whole site's content or limit it to pages, posts, WooCommerce products or other custom content types.

Style the field, the button and the list without writing code

Every element of the widget (field, button, label and results list) has its own settings. From the Elementor interface you change color, typography, width and height, background, border, margins and paddings, plus icons and responsive behavior. That way the search looks like your design and not like something pasted on top.

What to keep in mind

It is an Elementor widget: without Elementor it has nowhere to live, and it only fits well on sites built with it. It is a search field with clear results, not a filtering system by category, price or attributes. If your store needs to filter a large catalog, check in the demo whether what you see covers your needs before deciding.

Common questions before choosing Searcher for Elementor

Does it work for a WooCommerce store?

Yes, it can search WooCommerce products and show the product image next to the title and a short description.

Can I search only the blog posts?

Yes, you can limit the search to a specific content type (pages, posts, products or other custom types) or open it to the whole site.

Does it work on a site that isn't in English?

It supports several languages and includes a pot file so you can translate the texts into the language you need. It is also ready for right-to-left writing.

Does it look good on mobile and across browsers?

It has responsive settings and is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge. A fix in its history corrected the field's border radius on iOS devices, so it is still worth checking the look on an iPhone.

It activates with no prior setup, the work is in the styling

After installing and activating it there is no mandatory settings screen. It includes 5 example templates so you can see what is possible and start from a base in a few clicks.

  • Place the widget in the header or on a results page and choose asynchronous or regular mode.
  • Define which content types it should search.
  • Adjust colors, typography and spacing until it matches your theme.
  • Check the empty-results text and test with partial searches and the typos your visitors usually make.
