About Slaido for Slider Revolution
Three hundred templates so you do not start from a blank canvas
Slider Revolution is extremely powerful and that is exactly why it overwhelms: you open it and there are layers, timings, transitions and no ideas. Most people who have it installed use two templates and never touch the rest, because building one from scratch takes an afternoon.
Slaido is a pack of more than three hundred templates browsed from the WordPress admin itself and imported with one click. From there they get edited like any other.
How it is used
- Browse the catalogue inside WordPress, without going out to look elsewhere.
- Import the one that fits with a click, with its layers and animations already built.
- Change the content: text, images, colours and links, keeping the motion already solved.
The first thing to check
It needs Slider Revolution. It is a template pack, not a standalone plugin: without the builder underneath there is nothing to import. Many commercial themes bundle it, so worth checking whether you already have it before buying it separately.
And worth confirming the version. Template packs are made for a particular generation of the builder, and an old template imported into a new version can come out misaligned. It is the first thing to check on the product page.
Where it pays off and where it does not
It pays off in everything that is not the hero: product carousels, portfolio presentations, testimonials, animated content blocks inside the page. There a well-made template saves hours and looks better than whatever you improvise.
It pays off less as a rotating image at the top of the homepage. That is the use these packs get sold for and it is the one that works worst: the visitor takes in the first slide, almost nobody sees the rest, and a large moving image right at the top is what most penalises loading speed on a phone.
If you still want a moving hero, the recommendation is the usual one: two or three slides at most, and make the first one work on its own.
