About AffiliateWP Stripe Payout
Your commission list is only paid as far as your affiliates have connected
The month closes and the commission list is calculated. You press pay and discover that part of the list cannot be sent, because some affiliates never connected their account to Stripe.
In a Stripe payout the limit is not set by your account but by each affiliate's: they need their own connected Stripe account to receive the money.
AffiliateWP Stripe Payouts sends commissions from your Stripe account to your affiliates' connected accounts, without leaving WordPress. It requires AffiliateWP, which records the referrals and calculates what you owe. That is why it pays to treat the affiliates' connection as part of their signup and not as a chore settled on payday.
Individual, batch or scheduled payouts
- Connecting your account: you connect it by copying and pasting your account's key.
- Payment from your Stripe account: sends the payment to the affiliate's connected account with one click.
- Batch payouts: you select several affiliates and pay them together with the bulk payout button. You choose who goes into each batch.
- Scheduled payouts: you schedule individual or batch payouts for specific dates.
- Email notifications: the affiliate receives an email when the status of their payout changes.
- Cross-border payouts: lets you pay affiliates in other regions and currencies through Stripe.
The cost compared with AffiliateWP's own payout service
AffiliateWP's payout service charges a fee of its own on top of Stripe's processing cost. With this add-on you only pay Stripe's processing. Scheduled payouts, however, are not available alongside AffiliateWP's payout service or the PayPal Payouts add-on.
Cross-border payouts may carry additional Stripe fees. If you turn that option off, automatic payouts are limited to affiliates in the same region and currency. Which countries and currencies are supported is set by Stripe.
A first payout with an affiliate you trust
One possible path for the first payday: an affiliate you trust connects their account, is selected in a small batch and receives the payment and the email notice, before moving on to longer lists. This is one idea of use; adjust it to your program.
How to set it up
You need AffiliateWP, a Stripe account and affiliates with their own connected Stripe account.
- Install and activate the add-on.
- Connect your Stripe account by copying and pasting your account's key.
- Ask your affiliates to connect their accounts through AffiliateWP Stripe Connect.
- Choose one or several affiliates and pay, or schedule the payment for a date.
Alternatives for paying commissions
PayPal Payouts sends commissions from WordPress, but payments come out of the balance you already hold in PayPal: money from a linked bank or card does not count. AffiliateWP's own payout service also exists, with the extra fee described above.

Can I choose whom I pay in each batch?
Yes. You choose which affiliates go into each batch payout.
What does an affiliate need to get paid?
Their own connected Stripe account.
Can affiliates in other countries be paid?
Yes, where Stripe supports it. Those payouts may carry additional Stripe fees.
Is everything managed from WordPress?
Yes. Payouts are managed from WordPress, and the affiliate receives emails with the status of each payout.
