About Starlitte – TV & Internet Provider WordPress Theme
An operator's website only has to answer one question
And it is not what the tariff costs. It is whether it reaches my house. Everything else (the speed, the price, the channels, the router) is surplus until that question is settled, because somebody living outside the coverage area is not a customer however good the offer.
It is the most repeated mistake on internet and television provider sites: huge homepages with gleaming fibre and three compared plans, and the coverage checker hidden on the last screen. The visitor leaves without knowing whether they can sign up.
Starlitte is a WordPress theme for that kind of company: internet providers, telecoms, cable television, corporate telephony and networks.
What it contributes
- An operator layout, with the sector's usual sections already designed.
- Plan comparison, which is the centrepiece of the sale.
- Service and company pages for the corporate side.
- Responsive design, important because plenty of coverage checks arrive from a phone, sometimes from the street itself.
The theme is the shop window, not the operator
Worth being clear about so you do not buy expecting what is not there. A WordPress theme solves how the plans get presented and how the company gets described. What makes an actual operator work sits outside:
The coverage check needs to cross the visitor's address with your network map. That is a bespoke integration or a contracted service, and it is the feature that contributes most conversion on the whole site.
Recurring billing for a monthly service, with pro-rating, plan changes and non-payment, is a management system, not a shop plugin.
The customer area where the subscriber sees their usage, their invoices and raises a fault report usually comes from that same management system, and what gets done in WordPress is linking to it.
None of this is a fault in the theme. It is the normal division of a project like this, and knowing it beforehand avoids discovering it once the project has started.
How to start
One. Put the coverage check in the first visible spot on the homepage, even if at first it is a form that arrives by email and you answer by hand.
Two. Show the final price with tax and with the contract term. In this sector the small print is what generates cancellations and bad reviews.
Three. Keep the faults number visible on every page. A customer with no connection does not browse your menu: they look for a number.
Four. Publish a service status page. The day there is an outage, that page saves you hundreds of calls.
Alternatives in the catalogue
On the same ground, Telnet is the most direct option and Jelyco leans more towards the general telecoms operator. If you sell satellite television as well as internet, Mirasat is designed with that mix in mind.
And if your business is hosting and domains rather than fibre, change the whole piece: Hostinza integrates with WHMCS, which solves the recurring billing and customer area a normal theme does not cover.
Frequently asked questions
Does it include a coverage checker?
Not out of the box. It is an integration with your network map and has to be solved separately.
Does it bring subscriber billing?
No. An operator's recurring billing lives in a management system, not in the theme.
Is it suitable for cable television?
Yes, it is designed for television and video operators too.
Can plans be compared?
Yes, tariff comparison is one of the central pieces of the design.
What about the customer area?
It is normally linked from the management system. The theme provides the entrance, not the system.
What should be on the homepage?
The coverage check, ahead of the prices. Without coverage there is no sale.
