About Tickera Bulk Discount Codes

For people who hand out codes to partners, sponsors or radio stations, not for those who want a single coupon

Creating discount codes one by one works until a campaign needs a hundred, and then you spend the afternoon filling in the same form. Bulk Discount Codes is for event organizers using Tickera who give out codes to partners, sponsors, radio stations, influencers or club members.

It's no use if you don't run Tickera: it's an add-on and doesn't work on its own. Nor if you need a single code for the whole site, because the discount system Tickera already includes is enough for that. And it doesn't distribute anything for you: it gives you the list of codes, and distribution (email, social media, the deal with the partner) is still up to you.

A public code leaks; a thousand single-use codes don't

The problem with a campaign discount is that the code doesn't stay with whoever received it. The sponsor puts it in their newsletter, someone posts it on a deals forum, and you end up giving away tickets to people who were never part of the deal. With individual codes, each one is good for one buyer, one ticket and one redemption: if it gets shared, what you lose is one ticket, not the whole campaign.

Bulk Discount Codes: paste your list or generate the batch with a prefix

  • Paste a list: one code per line, with whatever letters, digits, dashes or underscores you like. They are saved exactly as you type them.
  • Generate with a prefix: if you don't have the codes ready, the add-on creates them on the spot from a prefix.
  • Percentage or fixed amount: the same flexibility as a code created by hand.
  • Export to CSV: the generated list comes out as a file you can pass to whoever runs the campaign.

When you save, all the codes become active and ready to redeem at checkout, with no need to activate them one by one. They behave like any Tickera discount: whatever the plugin's discount system supports also applies to your batch.

The codes live alongside your existing ones and other Tickera add-ons

After the import, the codes appear on Tickera's discount screen, next to any you created by hand, and you edit and manage them the same way. Because they are standard discounts, they can be redeemed even if the event uses Seating Charts, Custom Forms or Bridge for WooCommerce.

There is a practical limit: how many codes fit in one go depends on your server's PHP memory. Typical campaigns, from hundreds to a few thousand, fit in a single paste; if your hosting is tight, try a moderate batch first.

Frequently asked questions before generating your first batch

Does it work without Tickera?

No. It is a Tickera add-on and needs the plugin installed to create and redeem the discounts.

Can a buyer use the same code several times?

No. Each code is single-use: one buyer, one ticket, one redemption.

Can I use my own codes instead of generated ones?

Yes. Paste your list, one code per line, and they are saved exactly as you wrote them.

Can I give the batch to someone else to distribute?

Yes, by exporting it to CSV. Buyers enter the code at checkout and get the discount.
