About Toolkit for Elementor – Addons for Elementor
An Elementor site often feels fine in the editor and performs badly in PageSpeed: images without dimensions that make the layout jump, fonts that take time to appear, scripts nobody uses on that page and a database full of old revisions. To fix it you end up installing a caching plugin, a security plugin, a cleanup plugin and another one for the login. Toolkit for Elementor brings many of those tweaks together in a single plugin built for Elementor.
If you sell Elementor sites, you also deliver speed
If you build websites for clients, they won't judge you by how nice the editor looked, but by what they see on their phone and by the Lighthouse report an acquaintance will show them one day. With Elementor, a good part of that weight comes from what gets loaded and never used.
Booster: performance tweaks organized by metric
The performance tweaks are grouped by the Core Web Vitals metric they try to improve:
- CLS (visual stability): automatically adds width and height attributes to images and defines a fallback font to avoid invisible text while the typeface loads.
- LCP (loading of the largest element): preloads fonts and images in the visible area, prefetches external resources and, with Script Ninja, removes CSS and JS that the page doesn't need.
- FID (response to first interaction): minifies CSS and JS, defers JavaScript, delays scripts until the visitor interacts and renders HTML elements below the fold later.
It also works alongside a CDN such as Cloudflare, so that part of the caching and minification work falls on it instead of on your server.
Admin tools that replace separate plugins
- Syncer: shares saved Elementor templates across your sites with a key, without going through any cloud service.
- Login URL change: reduces brute-force attacks against wp-login.
- Dashing: inserts an Elementor template into the WordPress dashboard and customizes the branding of the login page.
- Temporary access links: give admin access to a technician or support team without sharing your credentials.
- WordPress core manager: disables automatic updates for core, themes and plugins, optimizes the Heartbeat API and hides dashboard widgets.
- Database cleaner: removes unused transients, old revisions, spam comments and more.
Page caching is still up to you
Toolkit improves a lot, but don't expect it to do everything. This list separates what it solves from what you'll have to cover another way:
- It solves: image attributes, preloading, delaying and deferring scripts, minification, database cleanup, login URL change and temporary access.
- You cover: good hosting, because no tweak makes up for a slow server.
- You cover: optimizing the images themselves (size and weight) and reviewing what each page actually loads.
- You cover: a backup before cleaning the database or disabling automatic updates, because disabling them means you must update by hand.
And it is a plugin for Elementor: if your site doesn't use this page builder, there is no point in installing it.
Frequently asked questions about Toolkit for Elementor
Does it replace a caching plugin?
It covers several performance tasks (minification, JS deferral, preloading), but don't assume it fully replaces one without testing it on your site. Check the results with Lighthouse before and after.
Can I use it on my clients' sites?
Syncer and temporary access links fit the work of people who manage several Elementor sites.
Can it break the design when delaying scripts?
Delaying or deferring JavaScript can affect interactive elements such as menus or sliders. Turn the settings on one at a time and check the site after each change.
Does it help with security?
It helps with access: it changes the login URL and avoids sharing passwords. It is not a firewall or a malware scanner.
