About UsersWP - WooCommerce
An empty profile fills up with what the customer already did in your store
A community profile asks each person to write something about themselves, and someone who only came to buy may leave it blank. But that person already has orders and reviews in your store.
When you add the purchases and reviews tabs, the profile fills up with what the customer already did in the store, and what is left to decide is how much of it each visitor sees.
WooCommerce for UsersWP is an add-on that enriches buyers' profiles with store data. It adds purchases and product reviews tabs to the profile builder. Products listed in these tabs have their own privacy settings, with three options: anyone, logged-in users or only the profile owner.
Profile tabs and account pages
- Purchases: lists the products bought by the user.
- Product reviews: lists the reviews they have written.
- Products: the products the user has submitted for sale; it only helps if you let users submit products, which requires a separate marketplace plugin.
- Wishlist: the products the user added to their list; it appears only if you have YITH WooCommerce Wishlist installed.
- Orders and spending: you can show how many orders a user has placed and how much they have spent, on the profile and in the users directory.
All tabs can be added to profiles or removed from them.
On the account page three new pages appear: Orders, where the user follows their orders; Billing address and Shipping address, each with a form to edit it. If other plugins add pages to WooCommerce My Account, such as marketplace plugins, those pages move to the UsersWP account page. The add-on is fully translatable.
A community of buyers with profiles
Imagine a mountain gear store with a community of customers. You could add the purchases and reviews tabs to the profile, so that whoever visits a person's profile sees what equipment they use and what they thought of it. If you prefer not to show them, you set the privacy to only the owner. This is an example; adjust the privacy levels to your community.
Dependencies and conditional tabs
It needs the main UsersWP plugin and WooCommerce. The products tab only makes sense with a separate marketplace plugin, and the wishlist tab only appears with YITH WooCommerce Wishlist.
Turning on the store tabs
You need WordPress with UsersWP and WooCommerce active. Then:
- Install the add-on like any plugin and activate it.
- Open the UsersWP profile builder and add the tabs you want to show.
- Decide whether to show the number of orders and total spent on the profile and in the directory.
- Review the Orders and address pages in the user's account.
