About Video Gallery and Player Pro
Videos scattered across the site that nobody finds
You have videos on YouTube, others on Vimeo, maybe one hosted on your own server, and they all end up pasted as loose iframes on different pages. The result: a visitor watches one and leaves, unaware that twenty more exist. Video Gallery and Player Pro gathers everything into an orderly gallery inside WordPress, in a grid or slider.
What Video Gallery and Player Pro offers depending on who you are
If you publish videos from several platforms
It supports HTML5 (self-hosted), YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Wistia, among others. For your own videos you can decide whether they autoplay, show controls or start muted, and you can also disable the download button. Wistia has equivalent settings.
If you need several galleries on different pages
Each video is loaded with an image, title, short description and link. With the category ID you can create separate galleries: one for tutorials, another for testimonials, another for events, each on its own page.
If you prefer to build without touching code
It includes a shortcode generator with a preview, a Gutenberg block and compatibility with Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin, WPBakery and Avada. There are parameters to adjust the image size, add your own CSS class or pause the slider on mouse hover.
If you are a developer or maintain your own theme
You can override the templates from your theme and there are filters to modify the plugin query. If you already have overridden templates, check them against the current version, because they changed significantly in several versions.
Designs: grid, slider and popup
- Grid with 1, 2, 3, 4 or more columns. One specific design looks best in 3 and 4 columns.
- Slider or carousel, also with a centered mode.
- Popup with slider: the video opens in a popup window (Magnific Popup).
There is also numeric or previous and next pagination that returns the visitor to the gallery when changing pages, and a customizable play icon.
Questions before buying it
Can I use it to host my videos?
It hosts nothing: it plays videos that are already on a platform or on your server (HTML5). The weight of your own files is handled by your hosting.
Does it work with my page builder?
It is ready for the most common ones (Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin, WPBakery and Avada), and also works with a shortcode or the Gutenberg block.
Can I set up a gallery with only a few videos?
Yes. You can use a slider or show just a couple of columns.
Does it have a JW Player player?
No, that option was removed.
No direct link to your channel, only video links
Videos are added one by one with their link; it is not an automatic importer for your whole channel. And the YouTube options depend on what that platform allows: for example, related videos are now limited to the same channel and cannot be fully hidden. Check in the demo how the gallery looks with your type of content before deciding.
