About Viva Themes Egesto WordPress Theme
A small corporate website usually fails for the same reasons: the home page doesn't explain what you do, the portfolio is a gallery with no context, and the team appears in a lost paragraph. Egesto is a dark theme built to fix exactly that, with its own templates for the home page, your work and your people.
A business that sells through the faces behind it
At a firm, an agency or a consultancy, whoever hires you often wants to know who will look after them before asking for a quote. That's why the team shouldn't be a footer afterthought. Egesto includes a dedicated template to showcase team members, with social media icons for each person.
Walkthrough: from an empty install to a site with home page, work and team
Here is how a typical site is built with Egesto, step by step:
- First, your identity: you upload your logo and favicon from the theme options. The background can be changed from its own panel, but the base design is dark, so if your brand needs a light website this is not your theme.
- Second, the home page: you assign the custom home page template, which is used to present your services and content, and add a header image.
- Third, your work: you create a page with the portfolio template to show projects in a clean layout.
- Fourth, your people: another page with the team template, with links to each member's social profiles.
- Fifth, navigation: the menu supports multi-level dropdowns, and the social media menu comes with 28 icons to link your profiles.
All of this relies on templates, not on a visual builder: you adjust content and options, but you don't drag blocks around the page. If you want to freely lay out every section, check in the demo whether this level of control is enough for you.
Questions people ask before choosing Egesto
Is it suitable for a blog?
It can be, since it includes threaded comments and blog pagination, but its strength is the company website, not editorial publishing.
Does it look good on mobile?
The layout is fluid and adapts to desktop, notebook, tablet and mobile phone.
Does it include a contact form?
Not as such. It has styling ready for the Contact Form 7 plugin, so you will need to install that plugin separately for the form to match the design.
Can I translate it?
Yes, it is translation ready and a POT file is provided.
Can I modify it without breaking it?
You can create and activate a child theme with a single click from the theme itself, which is the recommended way to touch the code.
What else Egesto has under the hood
- A full width page template.
- Two widget-ready areas.
- A theme options panel.
- Compatibility with the major browsers.
Don't expect an online store, bookings or plugin-type features: it is a corporate presentation theme, and what it adds are templates and visual settings.
When to choose Egesto and when to look elsewhere
Choose it if your business wins contracts by showing its work and its people, and if a dark look suits your brand. Skip it if you need a light aesthetic, a visual builder or built-in commerce features.
