If your catalog is already large and customers give up before finding anything
A store with hundreds of products, variations and attributes turns into a maze: the customer types a word, the default search returns something barely related and they leave without buying. WooCommerce Product Search replaces that search with its own engine, with an index, instant results and filters.
It suits you if you have a wide catalog, with many variable products, categories and attributes such as color, size or brand, and you want customers to reach the product without browsing page after page.
It is not for you if you sell twenty products that fit in a single menu: an advanced search adds little there. Nor is it a recommendations or email marketing plugin: it searches, filters and records what people search for. And although it is tested with many popular themes, in some cases it may need a small CSS tweak (it includes a section for adding your own rules).
Results as they type, with image, price and a buy button
The live search field shows products as the customer types, with their image and price, and even lets them add the item to the cart from the list itself. Fewer clicks between the urge to buy and the cart means fewer chances for them to get distracted.
It can automatically replace your store's standard product search field, so you do not have to rebuild your header. It can also be placed as a widget in a sidebar.
WooCommerce Product Search filters that update the shop without reloading
Live filters change the shop page instantly according to what the customer picks: keyword, price range, categories, tags or any product attribute. They are designed for catalogs with thousands of variable products and many attributes.
- Visual filters with thumbnails for categories, tags and attributes.
- They show the real color of the product, plus logos and icons, which is useful for filtering by color, size or brand.
- Category filters can expand subcategories on hover; on touch screens they appear when tapping the icon.
- There are also filters for ratings, for products on sale and for products in stock.

Blocks, widgets, shortcodes or API: choose where to put the search
The same functions are offered in four ways. With the plugin's own blocks you build a shop page with live search and filters, or customize the product catalog template by adding filters that work alongside the Product Collection block. With shortcodes you can show results on any page, even create specialized shop pages. With the API you integrate them directly into your templates.
The index updates itself when you add, edit or delete products, and search also improves in the admin area. To stay fast it uses its own cache system, compatible with Redis and Memcached. If you work with a page builder, check in the demo how it looks with your theme before deciding.
