360-degree tours without leaving WordPress
Showing a space with photographs has a ceiling. Ten images of a flat do not convey how the rooms relate to each other, and whoever looks at them still needs to visit. A virtual tour does solve that, but building one usually means paying for an external platform, hosting the images there, and ending up embedding another company's iframe in your site.
WPVR does it inside your WordPress. You upload the 360-degree panoramas and the tour lives on your site, with your data and your visitors.
How it is built
Three steps: upload the panoramic images, add the hotspots, publish. No external editor involved.
The hotspots
These are what separate a panorama from a tour. You place them over the image and clicking them shows information, photos, video or GIFs. They explain what the panorama cannot say on its own: how big that room is, what that unit includes, what is behind that door.
There is also an interactive floor plan overlay, which solves the classic problem with these tours: the visitor losing their bearings and not knowing where in the space they are.
What can be done from inside the tour
- Buy: it integrates with WooCommerce, so a product visible in the scene can be purchased without leaving it.
- Leave details: contact form integration to capture the visitor at the moment they are interested.
- Watch a video embedded from YouTube as an explainer.
- Share, with QR code generation and social buttons.
The QR code is more useful than it sounds in property: printed on the board outside, anyone walking past enters the tour from the street.
VR headsets
Tours can be viewed through VR headsets as well as on a normal screen.

Do I need a special camera?
You need 360-degree panoramic images, which is what the plugin uses as the basis of the tour.
Can I sell from inside the tour?
Yes, with the WooCommerce integration a product visible in the scene can be bought.
Can I use it outside WordPress?
There is an embed add-on for hosting the tour on non-WordPress sites, available on the agency plan.
Do visitors get lost between scenes?
That is what the interactive floor plan and the scene gallery are for.
