About WPC B2B & Wholesale Suite for WooCommerce (Premium)
Selling to businesses is not another price: it is lending
Almost everybody sets up the wholesale side of their shop thinking about the discount. Create a role, apply a percentage, done. And it works for a few weeks, until the first customer arrives asking for thirty boxes at thirty days.
That is where it breaks, because a normal shop charges first and ships after. A business expects the opposite: it receives, it checks, and it pays when payment is due. That gap is not an administrative detail, it is the difference between selling to consumers and selling to businesses.
What decides whether your wholesale channel works is not the special price. It is whether you can extend credit with control, know how much each customer owes you at any moment, and have the order come in without anyone approving it by email.
What it does
- Unlimited B2B roles, with sortable priority, so a customer matching two rules knows which one wins.
- Dynamic catalog that hides prices and the buy button from anyone not logged in or not authorised.
- Wholesale registration from the account area, with attachments, and a dashboard table to approve, reject or assign a role.
- Tax removal at checkout for wholesalers with a validated VAT number on their profile.
- Minimum purchase rules, both per whole order and per product, with a cart notice when the threshold is not met.
- Credit per role, adjustable per customer, with purchase order checkout, its own unpaid invoice status and the available balance visible in their account.
- Quick ordering by SKU, with a quantity table, which is how people who restock actually buy.
Credit is the feature that changes the business
The others are convenience. Credit is something else: it is your money out on the street. The plugin gives you the limit per role and the adjustment per customer, which is exactly the control that keeps lending from being betting.
The healthy way to use it is to start with a low limit for everybody and raise it per customer once there is a payment history. The other way round, with a generous limit from the start, you find out late and with an unpaid invoice on the table.
The unpaid invoice status also does something less obvious: it gives you a list of who needs chasing without leaving the dashboard.
The closed catalog has a cost worth calculating
Hiding prices from anyone not logged in protects your terms from competitors, and it is normal in wholesale. But it also leaves those pages with nothing to show a search engine or a buyer who has not registered yet.
If your shop sells to both, businesses and consumers, the sensible move is to hide only the wholesale price and leave the retail one visible. If you sell to businesses only, closing it completely makes sense, and then your lead generation comes from somewhere other than search.
Requirements and what it does not do
It needs WooCommerce. It is not a separate wholesale shop: it builds the B2B channel on top of the one you already have, with the same products and the same checkout.
It does not do accounting and does not issue tax invoices, so the formal invoice still comes out of your usual software. It also does not verify on its own that a VAT number is real with the tax authority: it reads what is stored on the customer profile, and the person putting it there is you when you approve the registration.
And it does not decide who you lend to. That part is yours, and it is the one that costs money when done in a hurry.
Alternatives in the catalogue
If all you need is to collect wholesale applications without building the whole circuit, WooCommerce Wholesale Lead Capture is smaller. For volume pricing without credit, there is WooCommerce Wholesale Pricing. And if you would rather start from a theme already built for a wholesale catalog, Angro has the design side solved.
The emails in the B2B circuit can be made presentable with the YayMail add-on, which is welcome when you send order confirmations to companies.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have different prices per customer and not only per role?
Pricing goes by role, and credit is adjusted customer by customer. For individual rates you will need separate pricing rules.
Does the wholesale customer buy in the same shop?
Yes. They see your catalog with their terms once logged in, not a separate shop.
What happens if a customer exceeds their credit?
They cannot keep ordering against invoice until the outstanding balance comes down. They can still pay immediately.
Does it remove VAT from anyone who types a number?
It removes it from anyone whose number is marked as validated on their profile, and that validation is yours to give when you approve the registration.
Does it work for selling to businesses only?
Yes, with the catalog closed. Bear in mind that product pages then stop working as a way to attract customers.
Does it replace my invoicing software?
No. It handles the order and the credit; the tax invoice still comes from wherever it comes from today.
