About WPC Force Sells for WooCommerce
For sellers whose product doesn't work without its add-on (and for those it isn't for)
A laptop without antivirus, a screen repair without tempered glass, a wedding photo session without an album: many stores sell a main product that only works or gets delivered properly with another item next to it. If you sell them separately, the customer forgets the extra or discovers it at the end and feels the price has been raised on them.
WPC Force Sells for WooCommerce serves that seller: you link one or more items to the main product that are bought with it, whether physical products, virtual products, downloadables or services. The customer sees everything as a single offer and can add it to the cart with one click.
It isn't for you if you want customers to build any pack they like from items across the whole catalog: here you are the one who decides what goes with each product. It also doesn't include a quick view or radio buttons for choosing variations: for that it relies on other plugins from the same family (WPC Smart Quick View and WPC Radio Buttons for WooCommerce).
An extra built into the price is accepted better than a surcharge at the end
When you add an add-on you search for it by keyword (the search responds instantly and you can adjust its limits and attributes). By default the add-on's price is 100% and the quantity is 1, and it is calculated automatically.
If you want to make the offer more attractive, you replace that price with a percentage or a fixed amount. Two clear uses: a 30% discount on a one-year antivirus when buying a laptop, or an extended warranty at a better price than the standard one. If you set a manual price, that amount is added to the total and the plugin shows a notice in the store so the customer can see it.
You can also reorder the add-ons by dragging them, and adjust the text, position and details with which the offer is displayed.
Add Separately: what happens when the customer removes one piece
This option changes how the cart behaves, so it's worth deciding it according to your product.
- Enabled: the items are added together but treated as independent products. If they remove the main product or an add-on, the rest doesn't change, but the add-ons go back to their original price and lose the discount.
- Disabled: a single click removes the whole offer from the cart so they can start over.
If the add-on is essential (the cleaning kit of a maintenance service, the glass of a repair), it is usually best to leave it disabled. If the customer may want several units of an extra, such as extending a warranty, enabling it makes more sense.
Quantities start at 1 and the customer can only choose multiples of the default quantity you set for each item.
Variations, downloadables and inventory with WPC Force Sells
The add-on can be a simple product, a variable product or one specific variation. That lets you offer, for example, a wedding album to choose from several models, or different bed types in a vacation package. Virtual and downloadable products also work as add-ons.
Items sold in the offer go through WooCommerce inventory just like an independent sale.
Questions from someone who already has the store running
Does it work for services and not only physical products?
Yes. You can combine physical products, virtual products, downloadables and services.
Can the customer change quantities?
Yes, for both the main product and the add-ons, always in multiples of each item's default quantity.
Can I discount only the add-on?
Yes. You set each add-on's price as a percentage or an amount.
Does it work with other WooCommerce plugins?
It is designed to coexist with other WooCommerce and WPClever plugins. If you use a very specific one, test it in the demo first.
