About Advanced Product Fields add-on: Live Content Preview
Your customer sees their personalization on your photos, not on a template
Someone wants to buy a product with their own text or image. Before paying they need to see how it looks, and the only thing they can see is what you have put in front of them.
With this extension, the customer's text and image are previewed over the product's images, so the quality of the preview depends on the gallery photos you uploaded.
Live Content Preview is an Advanced Product Fields extension for WooCommerce. It lets the customer type a text and see it over any of the product's gallery images, or upload an image and see it over the main image or the gallery. That is why the product gallery sets the result.
Two previews over the product images
- Text preview: the customer types their text and sees it live over any of the product's gallery images. They can also change the text color and font size.
- Uploaded image preview: the customer uploads an image and sees it immediately over any of the product's main or gallery images.
The customer picks the text color and font size, so the same photo has to hold both a discreet text and a large one. And since the uploaded image also shows over the main image, that photo needs free space to receive it.
Your most customizable product, with text and image
Think of the product that receives the most personalizations. The customer types a short or long text, changes the text color and font size and sees it over each gallery photo. Then they upload an image and see it over the main image and the gallery ones. Some photos lend themselves better to receiving text and others barely leave room. It is just a way to picture it; change it to suit your product.
Three things outside its reach
- It works as an add-on to Advanced Product Fields and not as a standalone plugin.
- Among its functions there is no choosing the typeface: the customer changes the text color and font size.
- Among its functions there is no template-based design editor or image generator.
How to activate the preview
You need WooCommerce and the Advanced Product Fields plugin, because this extension builds on it.
- Install and activate the extension together with Advanced Product Fields.
- Prepare a product with the personalization you offer, with its main and gallery images.
