About Bookly Custom Duration (Add-on)
When a fixed hour doesn't fit what the client needs
A service with a single duration forces a bad choice: either you block two hours for someone who only needed one, or you turn away someone who wanted more time. With rigid booking slots, the leftover gap is money that never comes in, and a missing gap gets sorted out through calls and messages outside the form. Bookly Custom Duration (Add-on) is designed for that problem: letting the client decide how long their appointment lasts.
How flexible duration works in the Bookly form
You create services with flexible duration and the client chooses the length of their appointment at the start of the booking process, inside the Bookly form itself. The price is calculated automatically based on the time chosen.
- Time-flexible services: you define which services accept variable duration.
- Client's choice: the duration is decided before moving on to the remaining booking steps.
- Automatic price: the amount comes from the duration that was booked.
How you will see it in the Bookly calendar
A booking of several time units appears in the Bookly calendar as a single appointment, showing how many units were booked. It suits businesses where time is what you sell: meetings, conferences and other services that may need more time than the usual duration.
Decide if it's worth it: it needs Bookly PRO and doesn't work alone
This add-on doesn't work by itself: it requires the Bookly PRO plugin and integrates into its booking system, like the rest of Bookly's add-ons.
