About Discount Rules for WooCommerce PRO
Discounts that apply themselves, without handing out coupons
WooCommerce ships coupons and little else. Everything a step beyond that becomes a workaround: wholesale pricing, buy-two-get-one, a discount above a certain basket value, a different rate for trade customers. Each of those ends up solved with a different plugin or with code in the theme file.
Discount Rules gathers them into a single rules system. You define the conditions and the discount applies in the cart with the customer typing nothing, which is where most coupon-based promotions leak: nobody remembers the code.
What kinds of discount it covers
- Volume and tiered: the price drops with quantity, with the table visible on the product page.
- Buy one get one and variants: whatever combination you define.
- By user role: the basis for wholesale pricing without running a separate store.
- On cart subtotal: above a given amount.
- By product, category, variation or attribute.
- By delivery address, postcode included.
- First order and next order.
- Based on purchase history.
- Coupon activated, for when you do want a code.
Conditional rules
The most powerful part is dependent rules: buying product A triggers a discount on product B. That is what lets you build genuine cross-selling, the "take the camera and the lens is half price" kind, without touching code.
Making sure the customer notices
A discount nobody sees does not sell. The plugin shows the tier table on the product page, alerts in the cart when a rule has applied, and adds a "you saved" line on both the item and the totals. It also puts a sale badge on affected products.
And it lets you exclude products already on sale, the rule that stops one promotion stacking on another until you are selling below cost.

Volume incentives, wholesale pricing, seasonal campaigns, category promotions, and winning customers back with discounts based on their history.

Does the customer have to enter a code?
