About Extra Product Options Addon for Export Order Items Pro
When the engraving text arrives mixed into a single cell
You export your orders to a spreadsheet and, instead of one column for the name to engrave, another for the size and another for the colour, you find everything crammed into a single cell. Someone has to split it by hand before passing it on to the workshop or the warehouse.
This happens mostly in stores selling customizable products: engraved gifts, made-to-measure clothing, packs with options. In that business the export is not an accounting report, it is the work order for whoever makes or prepares the order. If the personalization data does not arrive in order, human error is guaranteed, and you pay for it in returns.
Extra Product Options Addon: one form field, one column
This plugin is an add-on for Export Order Items Pro. It takes the fields you created with WooCommerce Extra Product Options (also known as TM Extra Product Options) and offers them as independent export fields. What the customer typed or chose in each one appears in its own column of the report.

Where the new fields appear and what happened without it
Export Order Items Pro already includes the standard WooCommerce fields and the custom fields it detects in the database. The Extra Product Options data is stored inside one of those fields, so it can already be exported with the base plugin, but all together. The addon is what breaks it down into separate fields.
Once active, the new options show up in the Add Field drop-down menu, inside the Export Fields tab of Export Order Items Pro. There is no settings screen of its own: you install, activate and choose.
Is Extra Product Options Addon worth it with what you already have?
It is useful if you already use the two pieces it needs and the bottleneck is reading the exported data. It does not replace either of them: it does not create product fields and it does not export orders on its own.
- It needs Export Order Items Pro installed.
- It needs WooCommerce Extra Product Options so that there are fields to export.
- If you have not yet defined fields in Extra Product Options, you will not see new options in the menu.
Does it work without Export Order Items Pro?
No. It is an add-on and only extends the options of that plugin.
Do I have to configure anything?
There is no additional configuration: you install it, activate it and the fields appear in Add Field, as long as you have fields defined in Extra Product Options.
Can't I already export that data with the base plugin?
Yes, but it comes out inside a single field. The addon splits it into individual columns.
Does it work with other product options plugins?
It is built for the fields of WooCommerce Extra Product Options. If you use another options plugin, do not count on it working.
