What this plugin actually does
Faview generates reviews for WooCommerce products automatically. They are **virtual reviews**, meaning ones created by the store administrator from lists of names and texts they configure themselves, not opinions from real customers.
Worth stating plainly up front, because whether it gets used well or lands the store in trouble depends on it.
Before buying: the legal side
Publishing invented reviews presented as genuine customer opinions is illegal in the European Union, under the Omnibus Directive, and in many other markets too. Penalties can reach a percentage of annual turnover, and payment platforms and comparison sites delist stores that do it.
This is not a theoretical warning: it is why careless use of this plugin can cost far more than the sales it brings.
Uses that are legitimate
The plugin has features that involve deceiving nobody:
- Canned reviews a real customer picks from a list when leaving feedback, in two display styles. Here the opinion is genuine, they are just helped to write it.
- Automatic replies to reviews based on rating, or added manually from the dashboard. That is customer service, not invention.
- Migrating real reviews from another platform or another store, where they genuinely exist and only need moving.
- Mockups and testing, to show a client how their store will look before launch.
What it ships for management
Bulk addition with names and texts picked at random from your lists, fixed or probability-weighted ratings, custom date ranges and scheduled generation. From the products list you can add and delete in bulk, filter products by review count and see average ratings. Virtual reviews can be filtered separately in the manager.
