About Food Menu Pro - Restaurant Menu & Online Ordering for WooCommerce

Your online menu changes with the hour and with the way it is delivered

You publish the restaurant menu on the website and the customer orders. But breakfast is not served at dinner time, pickup does not have the same lead time as delivery, and an order placed at a table does not follow the same path as one sent to a home.

An online menu is not a single list: it is a menu per time slot and per way of delivery, and the challenge is that each one has its own schedule.

Food Menu Pro is a RadiusTheme plugin for displaying restaurant menus and, with WooCommerce, selling the dishes. It shows them as a grid, list, category groups or a slider, and adds pickup, delivery and dine-in, each with its own message, schedule and time slots. Products can have their own schedule.

What it covers, from menu to kitchen

  • Menu: grid, list, category groups and slider, with Isotope filtering and columns per device. It is inserted with a shortcode generator, a Gutenberg block or Elementor widgets.
  • Dish data: variable sizes, regular and sale price, ingredients and nutrition facts with custom units.
  • Ordering: AJAX add to cart on your own WooCommerce checkout, floating mini cart, coupons, fixed or percentage tips, and a cross-sell carousel in the mini cart.
  • Schedules: date and time picker with lead time and pre-order window, order limits per slot and timed products.
  • Tables: QR code ordering, one per table, with the table number tied to the order.
  • Operations dashboard: live incoming orders, phone and walk-in orders, and status changes without entering wp-admin.
  • Kitchen: a monitor with a per-item check-off and an audio alarm.
  • Inventory and reports: stock deducted on sale and restored on refund, with reports on sales and profit.
  • Alerts and printing: SMS and WhatsApp with Twilio, and kitchen, packing, receipt, driver and confirmation slips.

A breakfast and dinner menu with pickup and delivery

Picture a place that serves breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with counter pickup and delivery. One combination you can try is giving each meal's products a schedule, setting different slots for pickup and for delivery, and limiting orders per slot. Place test orders in each slot before opening the site to the public.

  1. Create the dishes and assign each the schedule of the meal it belongs to.
  2. Define the message, schedule and slots for pickup and for delivery.
  3. Set the minimum lead time and the number of orders per slot.
  4. Place a test order at a breakfast time and another at a dinner time.
  5. Check in the kitchen monitor and the dashboard that each order arrives with its type.

What it needs from third parties and what falls outside

  • Orders require WooCommerce: payment is handled by your checkout and your gateways, not by the plugin. Only displaying the menu does not need it.
  • SMS and WhatsApp messages depend on a Twilio account.
  • Pickup, delivery, lead times and slots are configured service by service: nothing goes live with correct schedules on its own.
  • Among its features there is no delivery service of its own.

How to publish your first menu

You need WordPress and, if you want to sell, WooCommerce.

  1. Install the plugin and, if you will sell, activate WooCommerce.
  2. Create the categories and the dishes with their prices, sizes and data.
  3. Show the menu with the shortcode generator, the block or the widgets.
  4. Configure pickup, delivery or dine-in with their schedules.
  5. Test an order's full path, from cart to kitchen, before publishing.

Alternatives for a menu with ordering

To sell food from WordPress the catalog also has Orderable Pro, WooCommerce Food and RestroFood. If you only need a menu to read, with no ordering, this plugin displays it without WooCommerce.

Questions about Food Menu Pro

Do I need WooCommerce?

Only to sell. Displaying the menu does not need it; ordering does.

Can I offer pickup, delivery and dine-in at once?

Yes. Each mode has its own message, schedule and time slots.

Does the menu change by time of day?

Products can have a schedule and breakfast, lunch and dinner menus switch automatically, timezone-aware.
