About Frontend Admin Pro
Your users should never have to see the WordPress dashboard
When you open your site so others can publish or edit (members, suppliers, students, advertisers), the WordPress dashboard becomes your biggest problem: it is confusing for anyone who does not know it, it shows more than it should and it ends up generating emails like "I can't find where to edit my listing". The usual alternative is to give out too many permissions or build custom forms. Frontend Admin Pro proposes something else: that everything happens on normal pages of your site, with forms you design yourself.
A member directory with Frontend Admin Pro, step by step
Imagine a directory where each member manages their own listing. This is how the process runs:
1. Sign-up
The visitor registers with a user registration form on the frontend. With the admin area hidden for those users, they never get to see the dashboard.
2. The listing
Each member creates their post from the frontend. If the form is long, you can split it into several steps. There is a block editor field for formatted text, and you can limit how many submissions each user makes.
3. Payment
If you want to charge for being listed, the form supports one-time payments with Stripe or PayPal. Be clear about the limit: they are one-time payments, so if your model requires recurring fees, test it in the demo first. If what you sell are products, the WooCommerce integration lets users create them from the frontend.
4. Notifications
Each submission can trigger emails. It can also manage Mailchimp subscribers or turn the submission into an automatic PDF.
5. Corrections
Later on, the member edits their listing and profile without asking you for anything. With shortcodes you can display a field's value and let anyone with permission edit it inline, right on the page.
6. Your rules
Permissions define who edits what. You can also change site-wide settings from the frontend, such as the title or the logo.
Elementor, Bricks, Gutenberg or shortcodes
The plugin integrates with Elementor, Bricks and Gutenberg, and with any other builder through shortcodes. It needs no other plugins to work. It is the same product that used to be called ACF Frontend PRO: you can still display ACF fields and field groups in your forms, but you no longer need ACF active.
- The nestable forms widget for dragging and dropping fields belongs to Elementor.
- The styling that makes the form follow your brand is only for Elementor users.
- Features such as sending emails, multi-step forms, PDF, payments, WooCommerce or Mailchimp belong to the Pro version.
Questions before you build your user area
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Forms, permissions and notifications are set up without code.
Do I have to install ACF?
No. It works on its own, although it accepts ACF fields if you already use them.
Is it suitable for stores?
It lets users create WooCommerce products from the frontend, but it is not a store in itself: it is a way for others to publish.
Does it replace a membership plugin?
It does not seem to: it handles registration, permissions and content editing, but if you need subscription tiers with periodic billing, check in the demo first whether it covers your case.
