About JetSmartFilters

When the catalog grows, a search box is no longer enough

With 40 products, visitors scan the shop by eye. With 400, or with a directory of cars, accommodations or profiles, they get tired by the third page and leave. Someone who arrives knowing what they want (brand, size, budget, area) doesn't want to browse: they want to narrow down.

JetSmartFilters adds filters to your site's listings so that person quickly reaches what they came for. A badly designed filter does more harm than none, because it leaves the visitor on an empty screen after combining two options. The plugin includes an indexer with automatic and dynamic counts; check in the demo how it behaves with a catalog similar to yours.

JetSmartFilters by type of site

WooCommerce store

You can filter by brand, price, user rating, material, color, size, season or occasion, and promotion (new, featured, on sale). You can also filter by product category, with hierarchy to show the path. On the shop page, visitors can search by name, parameters or attributes.

Directory, portfolio or menu

Filter posts, pages and custom post types using their meta fields. It combines with JetEngine, ACF, Pods and MetaBox, so your own fields become search criteria.

Rentals, car dealers or hotels

The vacation rental, car dealer and hotel booking demos rely on filters with AJAX, pagination, indexer and a search or apply button. One of the sorting criteria is distance. Bookings are not handled by this plugin.

Blog with many articles

It lets you filter WordPress posts by name and content, so readers don't depend on categories alone.

AJAX filtering, active tags and result sorting in JetSmartFilters

Beyond the filter fields, what changes the experience is how the page responds:

  • AJAX without reloading: results update without reloading the page.
  • Active filters and tags: visitors see which filters they applied and can change them.
  • Pagination: shows 10, 20 or as many products per page as you decide.
  • Sorting: brand, popularity, newness, featured, rating, alphabetical, recent, distance and size, with a default view of your choice.
  • Extras: permalink structure for filters, URL alias, filtering by multiple field keys, hierarchy select and filtering several listings at once.

Questions before choosing JetSmartFilters

Is it only for WooCommerce? No: it also filters posts, pages and custom post types.

Which editors does it work with? Elementor, Gutenberg, Bricks and Divi.

Can I filter by my custom fields? Yes, by meta fields, and it integrates with JetEngine, ACF, Pods and MetaBox.

Do visitors have to wait for the page to reload? Not if you use AJAX filtering.

The filters need a listing and a compatible editor

JetSmartFilters filters a listing that is already on the page (products, posts, custom types), so you first have to build that listing and design the page in one of the compatible editors. It doesn't replace your shop theme or handle bookings or payments. If your case is very particular, test in the demo that the filters you need exist.
