About Notification : AppPresser
Reach people who have your app installed, not those who open their email
A notification email competes with hundreds of messages in a crowded inbox. If you have already published an app with AppPresser, your users have it on their phone and a push goes straight to the screen. The problem is that WordPress knows when something happens (a new post, a comment, a sign-up), but it doesn't know how to alert your app. This add-on connects the two.
What Notification : AppPresser does with each WordPress event
It is an extension of the Notification plugin that adds AppPresser as a sending channel (a Carrier, in its terminology). You define scenarios: when the alert fires, what it says and who receives it.
- Triggers: the WordPress event that fires the alert.
- Merge tags: insert real data from the event into the text, so the message isn't generic.
- Recipients: all app users or only the ones you choose.
- Unlimited scenarios: create as many as you need, each with its own triggers and message.
Combine it with the rest of the Notification ecosystem
Since it is part of Notification, it can be mixed with other integrations of the same plugin, such as Scheduled Trigger and Conditionals.
No programming and no third-party apps are needed.
What you need before deciding if it fits
This extension does not work on its own. Before buying, check that you meet all of the following:
- Have the Notification plugin installed, since the extension hangs from it.
- Have an AppPresser account and your app created. Without a published app there is nobody to send push to.
It does not create the app or replace AppPresser: it only manages the alerts that go from WordPress to it.
Does it work if I don't have an app yet?
No. You need the AppPresser account and a working app; the plugin only sends the alerts.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You install the extension in Notification and build scenarios with triggers, merge tags and messages.
Can I send an alert to a specific group?
Yes, you can send it to all app users or to selected users.
Can I schedule sends?
It can be combined with other Notification integrations, such as Scheduled Trigger and Conditionals.
