About Noxe – Movie Studios & Filmmakers Theme
A small studio or an independent filmmaker often ends up with a website that looks like a blog with photos: the trailer buried, the cast squeezed into a paragraph and every film built differently. Noxe starts from another idea: treat movies, series and people as records in a database, not as loose posts.
A filmography is a database, not a list of posts
Anyone publishing film content has a problem a blog does not solve: the same person appears in several works, a series has episodes and the visitor wants to filter by genre or year. Noxe works with its own fields and a film database system, so every title, episode and name has its own record and they are linked to each other. If everything is currently in loose pages, that change of mindset is what will take the most work.
What Noxe does with your movies, series and cast
- Movie and series records: detail pages and several listing layouts.
- Episode management: to organize series by episode.
- Names and cast: profiles for actors, directors and other crew members.
- Film search: so visitors can find titles using specific criteria.
- Reviews and comments: the audience can give opinions on each title.
- IMDb, TMDB and OMDb connections: to pull in movie data instead of typing it.
- Membership system, lightbox galleries and video galleries: for restricted content or audiovisual material.
What you should be clear about before choosing it
The theme is built with WPBakery Page Builder, not Elementor or the block editor. If you already master another builder, you will have to learn this one. The IMDb, TMDB and OMDb connections depend on external services and, in general, on your own access key: check in the demo how it looks and which data is filled in automatically. And it is not a ticketing or paid streaming system: it is a showcase and catalogue for film content.
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for a film festival?
Yes, the theme's own description lists festivals, studios and production companies among its uses. For a screening schedule, check in the demo how the listings are displayed.
Can I use it for a single film?
You can, but you will use less of the theme. Its strength is the catalogue with many titles and related people.
Does it work in several languages?
It is compatible with WPML and Polylang, is translation ready and supports left-to-right and right-to-left layouts.
Can I change colors and fonts?
Yes: it includes customization for layout, typography (with Google Fonts and Typekit), colors, header and footer, plus light and dark skins.
Design, performance and notices for your audience
It comes with more than a dozen demo homepages, with one-page or multipage options. It includes lazy loading of images, an adaptive images system, a child theme and a builder for custom sidebars. For advertising it offers built-in spaces, and for privacy notices it includes a cookie bar and GDPR compatibility; that does not replace reviewing your own privacy policy. It also integrates with Contact Form 7 and MailChimp.
Demo homepages are imported with one click
The practical approach is to start from the demo closest to your project instead of building from scratch. Before importing, have the texts, posters and trailers of your first titles at hand, and decide whether your site needs membership or will be open. After importing, replace the sample content with your own and check how the movie and people records look on mobile before loading the whole catalogue.
