About WPLegalPages Pro
Your privacy policy describes the site you had when you wrote it
You published your policy the day you opened the website. Since then you added Google Ads, included Amazon links and started a newsletter. The legal page is still in the footer, unchanged, talking about a site that no longer exists.
Every service you add leaves your legal pages one step behind your site. That is why having a policy matters less than knowing which part of your business it leaves out.
WP Legal Pages Pro generates those pages inside WordPress from your details and from what you do on the site. You then edit them like any other page. The final text comes from its templates and your answers, so review it before publishing.
A template for each thing your website does
- Privacy and cookies: policies for GDPR, CCPA, COPPA and Facebook apps.
- Store: terms and conditions, returns and refunds, including digital goods.
- Affiliate work: affiliate disclosures, Amazon disclosure, FTC statements and an affiliate agreement.
- Sensitive content: medical and earnings disclaimers.
- Other uses: EULA, DMCA, anti-spam, newsletter, external links and Impressum.
Templates come in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese, and you can create your own. When you state in the wizard that your site uses Google Ads, the policy adds the matching clauses.
Getting visitors to accept, in forms and stores too
A policy in the footer is only read if someone looks for it. The paid version adds other ways to present it:
- Legal popup: shows an existing page with an accept button.
- Forced agreement: asks visitors to accept your terms before browsing on, on pages and posts.
- Age verification: stops anyone below the minimum age, with Yes/No buttons or date of birth, for guests or for everyone.
In addition, footer links gather your legal pages, and a banner announces when one has been updated.
It places a link to the policy next to the consent checkbox in WPForms, Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms. It integrates with WooCommerce terms and with Easy Digital Downloads stores. It works with Gutenberg, Elementor and Divi, supports WPML and multisite networks, and every legal page has its shortcode.
The cookie bar does not know which cookies you have
It includes a cookie bar with the title, message and colors you choose. That is a notice and nothing more. The table of your site's third-party cookies needs a scanner, which this plugin does not include.
Its features include no analysis of what your website does: the clauses depend on what you declare in the wizard. If you forget to tick a service, the policy will not cover it either.
Your first page, from the wizard
To generate the first page, follow these steps:
- Open Create Legal Page in the plugin menu.
- Choose the page type, for example Terms of Use.
- Fill in your business details.
- Select the sections your site needs.
- Press the publish button: the editor opens, where you review the text and publish it.
When you lack a cookie inventory, not wording
GDPR Cookie Consent scans the site, detects cookies and publishes the list on your policy page with a shortcode. It complements this plugin on that gap.
Complianz combines legal documents, such as a privacy statement, disclaimer and Impressum, with hybrid cookie scanning and consent by region.
