About Kunco – Charity & Fundraising WordPress Theme

A donation and a charity T-shirt come in through different doors

Your organization opens a campaign and someone suggests selling T-shirts to add to the funds. From then on, money can reach the site in two ways: one person gives what they want and receives nothing in return, and another buys a specific size that has to be shipped. It looks like the same gesture of support, but on the site they are two paths: a donation form and a cart.

Kunco brings both pieces together. Donations go through Give and the shop through WooCommerce, each with its own screens. The decision worth making before you publish is what comes in through each door, because that determines where you will later look for each figure: fundraising reports belong to Give and orders belong to WooCommerce.

Five home pages and a site built around causes

Kunco is a WordPress theme for NGOs, foundations and fundraising campaigns. This is what it brings to build the site:

  • Five home page demos to choose a starting point.
  • One-click import, even if you only want some of the demo pages.
  • WPBakery Page Builder included for editing pages.
  • Slider Revolution included for the header or presentations.
  • Parallax and video sections on any page.
  • Portfolio filter and carousel, useful for showing finished projects.
  • Colors and typography from Google or standard fonts, with a real-time customizer.
  • Basic child theme already included and a layout that adapts to mobile.

For sales it includes a WooCommerce shop setup and sample products. It also integrates with Contact Form 7 and MailChimp for WP, and supports WPML for multilingual sites.

How a donation arrives with Give

Give is the donation plugin the theme integrates with. With it you publish customizable forms, and Kunco supports the multi-step donation form. These are its main pieces in the free version:

  • PayPal and Stripe as payment gateways.
  • Offline donations, for people who prefer to send a check or a physical gift by following the instructions you show them.
  • Donor dashboard, where each person manages their account and checks their history.
  • Fundraising reports to follow what comes in.

Where Kunco needs other pieces

Kunco takes care of the design and structure of the site. Payment is handled by Give or WooCommerce and the gateway you connect, so you will need your own PayPal or Stripe account to receive funds.

Recurring donations have their own plugin in the catalog. Give's annual receipts are a premium add-on, so if your donors need them, keep that in mind when planning.

The included builder is WPBakery, a change of tools if your team works with Elementor.

The order for launching your first campaign

The theme includes WPBakery and Slider Revolution, and it is worth activating Give and WooCommerce according to what you will use. With that ready, this is a reasonable order:

  1. Install Kunco and activate the child theme to keep your changes there.
  2. Choose one of the five home pages and import the demo, whole or just the pages you want.
  3. Adjust colors and typography in the customizer.
  4. Connect PayPal or Stripe in Give and create your first donation form.
  5. Make a test donation and check that it appears in the donor dashboard and the reports.
  6. If you are going to sell, configure WooCommerce and replace the sample products.

When the campaign calls for another way to raise funds

Qizon works with Elementor and combines GiveWP with WP Crowdfunding, so it fits better if your team prefers that builder. To extend Give, the catalog has Give Recurring Donations and Give Peer-to-Peer. And if you already have a theme and only lack donations, you can start with GiveWP itself.

Kunco for an organization just starting out

Does Kunco collect donations by itself?

Donations go through Give, with PayPal or Stripe in its free version, plus the offline route.

Can I have a shop and donations on the same site?

Yes. The theme integrates with Give and with WooCommerce, and each plugin manages its part.

Do I have to import the full demo?

No. The one-click import also works for taking only some of the pages.

Can donors see what they have contributed?

Yes. Give's donor dashboard gives them access to their account and donation history.
