About PMPRO Advanced Levels Page Shortcode

A pricing page that doesn't look like what you sell

PMPro Advanced Levels Page Shortcode replaces the Paid Memberships Pro levels list block with a block (or a shortcode) that controls which plans show, in what order and with what layout.

The pricing page is the most important page on a membership site. With the comparison table you can put the difference between your levels in front of visitors.

Six ways to show your plans

The layout attribute accepts these options:

  • div: the default.
  • table: a table.
  • 2col, 3col and 4col: levels in columns.
  • compare_table: a comparison table where each row is a benefit and each column a level.

In the comparison table you define the rows yourself with the compare attribute: for each level you enter 0 or 1 (no mark or a checkmark) or custom text. For example, "Access to courses" with a mark only on the top plan. Rows can include links, but you need to be careful with single and double quotes inside the shortcode, and it is easy to slip at first.

Control over what is shown and how each plan looks

These are the most commonly used settings:

  • Choose which levels appear and in what order, by listing their IDs separated by commas. If you set nothing, all of them show by ascending ID.
  • Show the full price, a short version, or hide it.
  • Show or hide the level description and expiration.
  • Change the text of the checkout button and the renew button for members whose level is expiring.
  • Apply a discount code to the prices displayed.
  • Turn on or remove the link back to the home page or the member's account.
  • Mark one level as featured.

Because it is a block or shortcode, you can also place the pricing table on the home page, on a sales page or anywhere else, not just on the levels page. For developers, it includes actions to add content before or after each level, and extra columns in the table layout.

What to know before deciding whether you need it

It works as an add-on: you need Paid Memberships Pro installed and active. It does not create levels or take payments on its own, it only changes how they are presented.

Is the featured level highlighted automatically?

Not always. The plugin adds a CSS class (pmpro_level-highlight) to the chosen level, but the styling is mainly included in the Memberlite theme. With other themes you will have to write your own CSS.

Can I use it without touching code?

Yes, through the editor block, which has its settings in the panel. The shortcode is useful if you prefer to type it by hand.

Can it show different plans to different visitors?

You can show or hide specific levels in each block or shortcode, so you can prepare several pages with different selections. Check in the demo how it looks in your case.

Is the comparison table easy to set up?

It is the most delicate part: the format of rows separated by semicolons and the 0 or 1 values require precision. Do not put a semicolon after the last row.
