About WooCommerce Conversion Tracking Pro

One sale, several platforms receiving the same one

A customer buys in your store and that purchase shows up in your WooCommerce orders. If you have connected Facebook, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, the same purchase is sent to all three, and each one receives its own copy of the data.

Connecting several ad platforms does not multiply your sales, it only multiplies the places that receive the same data, so the reference figure is your WooCommerce orders and not the sum of what each platform shows.

WooCommerce Conversion Tracking Pro sends conversion data from your store to Facebook, Google Ads, Twitter, Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) and Perfect Audience, and supports other platforms through a JavaScript tracking scripts feature. It is the paid version of a free plugin, which you must have installed.

Platforms and events it sends

  • Facebook: sends data to Facebook Ads, supports several pixels and lets you create product catalogs. It records product views, add-to-cart, searches, purchases and registrations.
  • Google Ads: sends purchase events with their purchase labels. It needs the Google Ads account ID.
  • Twitter Ads: tracks events such as add-to-cart, purchases and registrations.
  • Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads): sends conversion data to that platform.
  • Perfect Audience: aimed at retargeting the customers most likely to convert.
  • Your own platforms: connected through the JavaScript tracking scripts feature.
  • Facebook catalog: the import function lets you add products all at once.
  • Trigger-based events and values: it sends user-triggered events and you can pass values to connected sites, including custom parameters.
  • Role-based access: access to the settings is controlled by user role.

How to reconcile each platform's figures

One possible procedure: compare the number of purchases in each connected platform's report with the WooCommerce orders for the same period.

If you use several Facebook pixels, check which one receives each event. For the catalog, import the products with the import function and check in Facebook that all of them appear.

Accounts needed and limits of the plugin

The plugin sends data, but the accounts are yours: you need the Google Ads ID, your Facebook pixels and an account on each of the other platforms you connect. Without them there is nothing to send.

If you depend on a specific Twitter event, verify that it is among those sent before basing a campaign on it. Among its features there is no reporting dashboard of its own.

Requirements and first steps

You need WooCommerce and the free WooCommerce Conversion Tracking plugin, which the Pro version requires. No coding is required.

  1. Install the free plugin and then this one with the WordPress installer.
  2. Open the settings and add your IDs and pixels, platform by platform.
  3. Enable the events you want to send to each one.
  4. Import the Facebook catalog if you need it.
  5. Limit by role who can change the settings.
