About WP ERP Gravity Forms Sync
Contacts that fall asleep in the form entries
A well-built contact form usually fills an inbox, not a sales funnel. Each request lands in Gravity Forms as one more entry, someone reads it when they can, and follow-up depends on that person remembering to copy the data somewhere else. The more the business grows, the more contacts get lost in that manual handover.
WP ERP Gravity Forms Sync closes that gap: when someone submits a form built with Gravity Forms, their contact appears in the WP ERP CRM module with the data they just typed.
WP ERP Gravity Forms Sync: every field in its place and the contact created on submit
What the plugin does is specific and short:
- Manual field mapping: in the ERP settings you see all the fields of your form and choose which CRM field each one corresponds to. You decide which piece of data goes where.
- Complete contact record: what you collect in the form is available in the details of that contact inside the contact list.
- Real time: from the moment the person submits the form until the contact is created there is no wait and no periodic imports.
And the limits, so you don't buy with the wrong expectation. It is an extension of WP ERP: it needs WP ERP with its CRM module and Gravity Forms installed, because neither comes included. It is an extension of WP ERP Pro. Nor does it replace sales automation: it creates the contact, but follow-up emails, tasks or workflows depend on other WP ERP tools. And the mapping is not automatic: if you change the form, review the settings.
Questions that come up before connecting the form
Does it work with any Gravity Forms form?
The fields of each form are shown in the ERP settings so you can map them one by one. If you use very particular fields, run a real test submission and look at how the contact turns out.
Do I have to export and import files?
No. The contact is created at the moment of submission, without an intermediate file.
Does it work without the WP ERP CRM module?
It makes no sense without it: the destination of the data is precisely that module.
What happens if a customer submits the form twice?
Try it with two submissions from the same email on your installation before publishing the form, and check whether you prefer to filter duplicates another way.
A form that feeds a CRM should ask for what the CRM stores
Here is the usual mistake: the form is designed to be short, and then the sales team misses the phone number, the company or the reason for the inquiry. Since each field is assigned by hand, it pays to decide first what the person calling the contact wants to see and build the form from there. A field that fits no CRM data point is a field that will only live in the Gravity Forms entries.
The mapping is done in the ERP settings, not inside the form
This is the first thing to know when setting it up: you create and lay out the form in Gravity Forms as usual, and then go to the ERP settings to match its fields with those of the CRM. If several people work on it, the person who manages the CRM and the one who edits the forms should agree before touching anything, because changing a field on one side affects the other. Always run a test submission and check the resulting contact record.
