About Content Views Pro
WordPress shows your content one way only
In a list, newest to oldest. And for anything else (a three-column grid of one category's posts, a carousel of the latest case studies, a product grid filtered by brand) the normal route is editing templates or installing a whole page builder.
Content Views Pro turns that into something chosen from a panel: which content you want, with which filters, in which layout, inserted wherever you need it.
What it can display
- Posts and pages, the basic use.
- Custom content types: projects, events, recipes, properties, whatever your site has.
- WooCommerce products, with their attributes and stock status.
- Media library images, for galleries built from what you have already uploaded.
How it filters and how it sorts
By category, tag, custom taxonomy, author, keyword, date, status or ID. And by custom fields too, with support for ACF, Meta Box and Pods, which is what makes the plugin useful on sites with genuinely structured content.
Order is chosen from date, title, menu order, comment count, random or a custom field. And the visitor can filter for themselves from the page, with dropdowns, checkboxes, buttons, date ranges or a search box.
The presentation
Twenty layouts: grid, list, carousel, overlay, Pinterest style, timeline, accordion and several more. They are inserted with a shortcode, a Gutenberg block or an Elementor widget, and there are more than sixty ready-made designs to start from something built. Pagination can be numbered, a load more button or infinite, always without reloading the page.
Two things worth being clear about
It displays content, it does not create it. If you need custom fields (a property's price, a course's duration), those are created by ACF or similar. Content Views reads and presents them, but does not invent them.
With large catalogues, watch the load. Every view is a database query, and a page with four grids filtered by custom fields across thousands of posts will show. Worth measuring the speed of pages where you place several views and leaning on caching.

Yes, and it allows filtering by attributes and by stock status.
Do I need Elementor?
No. It works with shortcodes and Gutenberg blocks, and it also brings Elementor widgets if you use it.
